4. Purpose of the service

valtip is a tip accounting system for restaurants and cafés. A guest leaves a tip through a secure page, the money is collected into the venue's account via Stripe, and the Platform keeps a record of shares and settlements.

The Platform is not a bank, a payment institution or a payment service provider: it does not hold users' funds and makes no money transfers. Detailed terms are set out in the Terms of Service.

Payment processing is carried out by Stripe and is governed by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

5. Intellectual property

The entire site — its structure, code, texts, graphic elements and visual identity — is protected by intellectual property law and remains the exclusive property of the publisher, with the exception of content uploaded by users and third-party trademarks referred to.

Any reproduction, representation, modification or exploitation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

6. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy: categories of data, purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and how to exercise your rights.

7. Cookies

The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. The cookies set are either strictly necessary for the service to work (session, CSRF protection) or a record of your language choice. Details are in section 3.6 of the Privacy Policy.

8. Links and liability

The site may contain links to third-party sites, in particular Stripe. The publisher exercises no control over those sites and accepts no responsibility for their content or their data processing practices.

The publisher endeavours to keep the published information accurate and the service available, without being able to guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The applicable limitations are set out in sections 12 and 13 of the Terms of Service.

Any manifestly unlawful content on the site may be reported to contact@valtip.fr, stating the address of the page concerned and the reason for the report.
